Yes, you can use the Inter-Library Loans service. This service allows you to apply to obtain books, articles and theses which are not held by Birmingham City University Libraries from another library. There is no charge to you when you apply for items.

Please be aware that the length of time taken to obtain an Inter-Library Loan request varies from a couple of days to a few weeks or even months. This depends on a number of factors, including how quickly the British Library, or any other institution we apply to can supply the item. Journal articles will be usually sent to your University e-mail address.

To access the Inter-Library Loan application form, and to find out more about the Inter-Library Loans system, click here. You will need your borrower number (on your ID card) and PIN to submit a request.

If you would like to suggest that the library purchases a book that is not in stock you can complete the online Suggest a Book form and we will consider your suggestion.
