Library and Learning Resources are available to help you in our libraries during staffed hours.
We can be identified by our pink Birmingham City University lanyards:
The Customer Service Advisors can be found at the Library Help Desk and roving around the library. Ask us about using the library, how to search for books, how to borrow/return/renew your items, finding out your library PIN, paying charges, and more!
The Customer Service Librarians can be found at the Library Help Desk until 5pm and on the virtual enquiries service from 11am-6pm (hours vary during vacation). Ask us about finding books, journals and other information for your assignments and research, how to access online resources, evaluating resources, referencing, and more!
Our virtual enquiry service is available 24/7 - outside of staffed hours a librarian from another university will be happy to help you use our resources.
If you would like specialist subject help, the Learning, Teaching and Research Librarians are available by appointment. We also have a student Peer Mentor who can offer you support in finding resources. Book a tutorial online.
You will find Library Assistants and Library Support Assistants tidying and shelving within the library. They will be happy to point you in the right direction if you need help.
