You can access e-books in the following ways:

  • via the Library catalogue. The catalogue has links to books that are available as e-books.
  • via Summon. You can search Summon by author, title and subject. You can narrow your search to e-books by using the filters on the right of the screen.
  • via the MyiLibrary database. This is our largest e-books database but e-books are also available via other databases so the catalogue or Summon will be the best search option.

For all these options we advise that you start off from the library's iCity page and from the Links tab, choose Find Resources. There you will find links to Summon, the catalogue and the A-Z of Resources (where you will find the link to MyiLibrary).

If you do not start off from iCity, you may see this screen

if you do see this screen, then you should ignore the left half of the screen and in the right hand part of the screen  where it says 'Find Your Organisation', type in 'Birmingham City University' and this will take you to the normal login screen via iCity.
