Search for a specific title

If you want see if the library has a particular book available as an e-book you can search on the library webpage. Enter the book details (title or author or author/title) in the search box and select Books.

A list of titles matching your search will appear. You can select "online" as the location using the filters on the left-hand side of the search results page. If the title you want is shown, click on the title or Check Availability link.

If there is an e-book version available you will see a Connect to e-book link 

Follow the link. You will then be taken to the e-book. If you are asked to log on please use your university e-mail address as your username and your network password as the password.


Search for a topic or keyword

If you want to see what e-books the library has on a particular topic you can either search on Summon or via the library web page.


Then select Full Text Online and Book/ebook from the options on the left of the screen

Click on the Full Text Online link under the title of the book you want to view.

Enter your search terms, select "books" then "search".

Then select "Online" from the options on the left of the screen.

Any books available as e-books will be shown.

Click on the title of the book you wish to view or on the Check Availability link. Then click on the Connect to E-Book link.
