Our Inter-Library Loans service is currently working to supply digital materials which are not held by Birmingham City University Libraries, including digital copies of journal articles and book chapters (from digitalized books). This may be subject to change in the future.
There is no charge to you when you apply for items.
Please be aware that the length of time taken to obtain an Inter-Library Loan request varies from a couple of days to a few weeks or even months. This depends on a number of factors, including how quickly the British Library, or any other institution we apply to can supply the item. Journal articles will be usually sent to your University e-mail address.
You will need your borrower number (10 digits from the front of your BCU ID card including the 2 digits issue numeber) and PIN to submit a request.
If you would like to suggest that the library purchases a book / ebook that is not in stock you can complete the online Suggest a Book form and we will consider your suggestion.
