Know which book you want to borrow from the Library? Dont want to book a 3 hour library slot? Use our Click and Collect service.
During the current Covid restrictions Library users can use the Click and Collect service, to borrow items.
How do I request a book?
Requests should be made through our Library Catalogue following the library reservation procedure.
- You can reserve both on-shelf and on-loan items.
- You can collect your reserved items from either Curzon or Mary Seacole Library by selecting MSL or CZ as a collection site.
- Please be aware that returning items will be quarantined for 3 days, this may lead to a delay in items becoming available.
How do I collect a book?
When your books are ready for collection an email will be sent to your University email address. There will be a link in the email to our collection time slot booking page. You must book a collection time slot to pick up your books.
15 min booking slots are available Monday to Friday, between 11am - 1pm and 3pm - 5pm. You must collect your items during your booking slot.
When you arrive to collect your items, they will have been issued to your account. You will need to show your university ID card to the staff on the collection point, who will then place your books on the collections table.
If you have multiple items waiting for collection you only need to book 1 slot. Everything waiting for you on the morning of your booking will be issued to your account and awaiting collection.
Uncollected items will be returned to the library, discharged from your account and quarantined.
Where do I go to collect a book?
You do not need to join the library entrance queue.
Click and Collect points have been set up outside of the library spaces. In Curzon building the Click and Collect point is on the Ground Floor in the Curzon B study zone. In Seacole building the Click and Collect point is opposite the library entrance next to the building lifts.
Please be aware that your booking will only enable you to collect reserved books, if you wish to enter the library to browse the books on the shelves, you will need to book a study space
