The EndNote referencing software (version X8.1) and EndNote Web both contain the BCU Harvard referencing style. The software also connects with Word as an add-in (shown as a separate tab called EndNote X8, not the References tab). We recommend that you use this rather than other referencing software as it is the nearest approximation to the actual BCU Harvard referencing style.
EndNote Web training is available from IT Training. They also run a course on Word: Large Documents which includes inserting section breaks, table of contents, table of figures. To book a place on either of their courses please see their training schedule.
Free open source reference management software is also available. The University’s databases will often export references to software such as Zotero, CiteULike and Mendeley. If you wish to export and import citations between software packages we recommend using the .ris format.
