Below are a selection of sites you can use to source some copyright cleared resources; for example:

  • where the author has given permission for the image / film / music to be used under certain attributable conditions
  • where the copyright has expired on the resource

Images

http://explor.bcu.ac.uk (You will need to log in using your BCU id and password)

https://search.creativecommons.org/

https://www.flickr.com/commons (make sure you're using The Commons and not just normal Flickr)

Music

http://freemusicarchive.org/

Film Clips

https://archive.org/details/movies

These sites will give you instructions on how to cite the sources you use.  Many images are cleared for use provided you 'attribute' the author.
