In addition to printing and copying, the MFDs (Multi Functional Devices) throughout the university can be used to scan documents. Here are the instructions:

  • At any of the MFDs place your ID card face down on the scan pad or enter your 10 digit PIN number
  • On the display screen, select Scan and Send
  • Place your document face down on the top left corner of the glass or place the documents in the document feeder face up
  • Press the Scan and Send button at the top of the screen to access the scanning menu
  • To scan to your BCU email address, press Send to Myself or select One-Touch
  • If you want to scan to another email address, select new Destination and then enter the email address in the following screen.
  • To scan to your Z drive, select One-Touch followed by My Folder
  • Make any changes as required in the options on the right side of the screen
  • Press the green button on the printer to start scanning

Be aware of copyright restrictions if copying books, journals etc.
