How do I reference StatPearls?

Firstly have a look at the URL.  If you have accessed StatPearls from the National Library of Medicine / National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website, follow the format for an online encyclopaedia entry.

Example:

Weir, C. B. and Le, J. K. (2023) Metronidazole. In: StatPearls. Treasure Island, FL: StatPearls Publishing.  Available at: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK539728/ [Accessed 4 April 2023].

Academic articles that cite StatPearls tend to refer to the StatPearls website (which is a subscription site).  If this is the source, then the reference would appear as a web page:

Example:

Weir, C. B. and Le, J. K. (2023) Metronidazole. Available at: https://www.statpearls.com/ArticleLibrary/viewarticle/28183 [Accessed 4 April 2023].
