Yes, you can add a single section or item from your Resource List into Moodle. The process works the same way as adding a whole Resource List to the Moodle course.

1. Turn on editing mode in Moodle, and go to the section to which you wish to add some resources (e.g. Week 1 or Session 1).

Open edit tools in Moodle

2. Scroll to the bottom of the section and click add an activity or resource.

Add activity button

3. Select Library Resource Lists from the pop-up grid of options.

Moodle activity grid, click library resource lists

4. Click on Select Content and the whole Resource List will appear in a pop-out box.

Select content button

5. Tick the box to the left of the section (or single item) you wish to add and click Select.

Tick the content you wish to add and click select

6. The activity name will default to the section/resource name from the Resource List. You can rename it if required (e.g. Week 1 Resources).

Complete the activity name field

7. Scroll down and click save and display to check that the resources display as you wish. If you have changed your mind you may also cancel at this stage.

Click save and display

8. Having checked the resources, you may then go back to editing the Moodle course.

9. A Resource List may be deleted at any time. Find the resource you added to the page (named External Tool) and click on the three dots to the right of the item. Click delete and confirm yes to the pop-up prompt.

To delete, click three dots
