Moving to a new home

Education courses are moving to a brand new home in Benjamin Zephaniah building at our City Centre Campus.

To ensure Education students have access to resources whilst the new library space is prepared, we have moved the core of the Education collections to the Curzon library at the City Centre Campus.

Due to space limitations parts of the wider collections are remaining at Mary Seacole library.

The Education Collections will be reunited and relocated into the Benjamin Zephaniah building in Spring 2025.

Accessing the main collection in Curzon Library

Curzon Library is the largest BCU library, and has a range of facilities to support you and your studies:

The Education Collection will be housed in an open room at the front of the library on level 1. Library staff will be happy to guide you to the room and help you get started with finding materials.

Materials remaining at Mary Seacole Library

Until the collection can move fully into its new home in Benjamin Zephaniah building, some materials will be remaining at Mary Seacole Library.

You are welcome to continue to visit Mary Seacole library, borrow from the collections and book a space.

But you don't have to!

If a copy of a text you need is not available at Curzon Library you can reserve it on the library catalogue and we will send it over to Curzon library for you.
